We have been tracking our container from Bali and it left Egypt yesterday, Monday, and next stop is Southhampton on Sunday 11th May. We are on the case to get it through customs ASAP and hopefully in to our warehouse on Wednesday or Thursday latest!! Thanks you to all of you who pre ordered your orders will be dispatched as soon as we can. If you haven't pre ordered you can still do it by going to the COMING SOON PAGE. We have a lot of the new items listed there, however we also have a number of new items still not listed so please keep checking back.
We have 347 boxes coming in with a total of 14311 items, 100 new lines never before sold by Mas Trading, so exciting times ahead. Also a lot of the items are unique to Mas Trading. A best selling Buddhas are going to be back in stock as are the flapping animals and Glitter Cats (lots of new colours). I am sure that you will really be pleased with our new stock.

Hello Everyone. Just a small selection of Bali craftsmen at work. These chaps are based in the Ubud region of Bali where nearly all carvings are done. The first picture is a man carving a small turtle and the second one is carving a large dolphin statue. The large one takes approx. one week to carve and then is finished by sanding down and staining.
Bali is unusual for Indonesia as it is predominantly Hindu (Indonesia is the largest Islamic country in the world).
It is a variation on Indian Hinduism as it has its roots in both Hinduism & Buddhism. Bali Hinduism is the only form the religion that permits the eating of beef. Everyday there are ceremonies carried out and the following picture is of one we saw at a very busy junction on a dual carriage way!
We were in a car with our friends Nyoman & Made and I did ask what the ceremony was for and all I got back was "it's just a ceremony", so I can't really explain any further.
Hindu temples are everywhere from the large at Tanah Lot to small ones outside houses. Each house also has a small place for offerings to be placed. Interestingly when the bombs went off a few years ago killing many people the Hindu temple next to the main blast was actually untouched - makes you think!!
